BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION & UPCOMING ABA SERVICES
Every behavior has
a root.
Rooted Behavior supports families, educators, and community partners in understanding the cognitive, sensory, communication, and environmental factors connected to behavior. Direct ABA services will become available as insurance credentialing and program development are completed.
We don't just manage what a behavior looks like. We look at what it's rooted in — sensory load, communication gaps, cognitive processing, environment — and build support from there up.
WHAT WE DO
Four ways we work with you
Current consultation and coaching services, along with upcoming direct ABA services designed around individualized, evidence-based support.

01
Upcoming Direct ABA Services
Individualized, BCBA-supervised ABA services are currently in development. Rooted Behavior is completing insurance credentialing and preparing to offer services based on each learner’s communication, independence, behavioral, and family-centered goals.
03
Parents & Caregiver Coaching
Practical, individualized support for caregivers seeking to better understand behavior, strengthen communication, and build sustainable strategies for daily routines. Parent coaching may be available independently of direct ABA services.
02
School & District Consultation
Behavioral consultation related to IEP and BIP implementation, classroom environment design, staff coaching, and practical strategies that support learners across school routines.
04
Organizational & Community Consultation
Consultation, staff education, program development, and behavioral systems support for schools, community organizations, providers, and agencies serving children and families.
Insurance credentialing update: Rooted Behavior is currently completing credentialing with insurance providers. Insurance-funded ABA services are not yet available. Families may submit an inquiry to receive updates regarding service availability, accepted insurance plans, and enrollment.
UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIOR
The nuance behind the behavior
Part of our work is simply translation — helping parents, educators, and case workers understand the science in plain terms.
FUNCTION OF BEHAVIOR
Behavior is communication
Every behavior serves a purpose — to escape a demand, gain attention, access something desired, or meet a sensory need. We identify the function first, because the same behavior can mean different things for different people.
COGNITIVE PROCESSING
How information is taken in
Differences in processing speed, working memory, and executive function shape how instructions land and how long it takes to respond. We design supports around how a person actually processes, not how we expect them to.
SENSORY INTEGRATION
The environment is part of the behavior
Sound, light, texture, and movement can overwhelm or under-stimulate a nervous system long before a "behavior" ever shows up. We assess sensory environments alongside behavioral ones.
